5S Sports is a sports education company and agency working to bridge the gap between the international and African sports landscapes.
In a constantly changing world, all sports stakeholders need to stay updated on the latest trends, innovation, and best practices regardless of the role they serve or the levels at which they operate.
This creates a need for easy and regular access to information and continuous professional development.
There is a need for practical knowledge that can be adapted to different situations. The pedagogy must transcend theoretical knowledge and plug the gap in producing relevant, updated and feasible practical solutions to take the sports industry to a higher level. 5S Sports makes these opportunities possible by bringing the industry leaders to the doorstep of Africa’s sports stakeholders.
5S Sports is founded by (FIFA Match Agent) Mr Rasthoem Simons who is known for facilitating unique international partnerships. Simons also has a record of providing challenging and unique opportunities to the South African market, including courses with Sports Business Institute Barcelona, Raymond Verheijen and the World Football Academy, Dan Abrahams and Feyenoord amongst others.

5S Sports has partnered with two leaders in football to bring successful ideas and methods to the aspirational football coach.
- Atletico de Madrid Academy who has produced the likes of Saul, Koke and Fernando Torres amongst others offers insights into their successful methodology, the methodology that has seen them in two UEFA Champions League finals and a semi-final since 2014. The course includes theory and video sessions, private group discussions and discounts from the Atleti online store. The three option course offering starts on the 7 September and has a: 6 hour option for the delegate who wishes to gain insight into the Atletico way at the Academy level, 14 hour option which provides a deeper look into the Atletico Methodology and physical preparation and the 20 hour option which gives 360° immersive vision into Atletico de Madrid. Each pathway is limited to 25 people.

- Melvin Boel has made a successful transition from the world of business to coaching, serving as the Feyenoord U18 Coach. In addition to working as the Academy U17 coach in the past, Boel has served as a Feyenoord’s Academy international development coach which saw him lead training and coaching initiatives all across the world including South Africa.
In a 75 minute talk, Boel covers his story, the styles, objectives and analysis of training and playing covering age groups from 8 – young adult, the unique nature of coaching youth as well as tactical and individual training and the transition from academy level to professional football. This inspirational talk is hosted on the 2nd September on Zoom. The course is limited to 50 delegates.
